At the end of last year, Harrison Marshall reached out and invited Nightjar to contribute a poster to his upcoming book, 'PA200'. Harrison is the founder of UK-based type foundry Frost Type , who we collaborated with on a custom wordmark for The Swaddle.

Harrison's own imprint, Offcuts, was to publish the curated collection, sponsored by The Brand Identity so we knew it would be to an impeccable standard.

The poster we created for The Swaddle heroes the layered approach that we took when crafting the brand identity - The Swaddle is a Mumbai-based publication for young Indians looking for more nuanced perspectives on socio-cultural news and events. By revealing the multitude of layers that surrounds any one issue, the publication encourages readers to dive deeper, and form their own opinions on culture, power and society.

Our poster appears amongst interviews with designers such as Dimitris Koliadimas from Semiotik Design, and Jay Cover and Edmund Lock from Two Times Elliott.

The book is available for purchase from the Offcuts Store

Poster Archive 200 ‘PA200’The short-lived nature of a poster, often incites interesting design. But, unfortunately a poster serves a temporary objective and we don’t get to enjoy them for long. This book allows you to appreciate them for a little longer. Bringing hundreds of designers together, to celebrate and preserve a curated archive of 200 posters. The archive is accompanied by interviews with Dimitris Koliadimas from Semiotik Design, Jay Cover, and Edmund Lock from Two Times Elliott, who share some insight into their process when creating a poster.
