The perks of being a Nightjar

We work hard, but we also like to enjoy the little things. Our studio is leafy and lovely, located right in the buzz of Bourke St in Sydney. We take annual Nightjar trips away, to learn and laugh, and our monthly excursions aim to broaden our horizons through art, culture, or debate.

Each Nightjar has a training budget to allocate towards things that tickle your fancy and individual performance plans to help you grow. And did we mention we have a resident studio doggo?

On a more practical note, we also do things like your personal tax return to ease the pain of financial management, and have a generous parental leave policy.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

We like to think of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as a quilt of our shared experiences - made richer and warmer the more we add to it. Our experiences and products are used by humans everywhere, from all backgrounds, and better representation internally will only help us externally. Hiring choices at Nightjar do not hinge on race, religion, gender, age, disability or sexual orientation. We are small but we are mighty, and we’re using our voice to make positive changes within the design and technology communities.

To make sure we attract diverse talent, empower our team, and continue to deliver products that support a wide range of customers and local communities, our DEI policy focusses on four key areas.

Foster individual wellbeing.

Promote and support individual health and wellbeing, fostering greater engagement, inclusion, and the ability to thrive.

Lead with inclusion.

Promote a people centred culture where people feel safe, respected, included, and valued. We will create a positive and productive workplace, where people are set up for success and are able to thrive at work.

Empower a diverse workforce.

Leverage our diversity to create opportunities to innovate and deliver excellence to our members, our organisation, and the profession.

Community and advocacy.

Leverage our internal capability to advocate for equity, inclusion, and diversity, partnering with members to enhance our communities.
