Nightjar is a design technology studio that builds award-winning brands, digital products, and platforms for ambitious companies. Our work has won at the Webbys, Good Design Awards, AGDA Awards and Awwwards - multiple years running. Our clients include Guide Dogs, Destination NSW, Salter Brothers Hospitality, House of Heat and Armadillo to name a few.
We're growing, and we need someone to help us do it faster.
The role
This is a pure new business role. You're a hunter - not a farmer. You'll own the outbound pipeline from first contact to signed scope, working closely with our leadership team to position Nightjar in front of the right opportunities.
You'll be the first dedicated new business hire at the studio. That means building the process, not just executing it. It's a rare chance to shape how an established studio goes to market.
What you'll own
- Build and own an outbound new business pipeline from scratch
Identify and pursue clients who are ambitious enough to deserve us (and we them) - Lead discovery conversations, shape briefs, and work with our creative and strategy team to craft proposals that win
- Own the CRM, the cadence, and the close
- Represent Nightjar at industry events, in conversations, and wherever the right people are
- Work directly with the founders to sharpen how we price, pitch, and position
Who you are
You've worked in or around a digital, design, or creative agency. You understand what goes into building a great product or brand - not because you build them, but because you've sold them and seen what it takes.
You're confident on the phone, sharp in a room, and relentless in follow-up. You know how to navigate a long sales cycle without losing momentum. You're comfortable talking about money and negotiating scope.
You don't need to be managed. You'll come in, assess the opportunity, and build something real.
