A simple, seamless and visually striking way for the government clients of Hickson’s Lawyers to auto-magically create I.T. contracts - removing the drudgery from a process that no-one enjoys.
OVERVIEW
Hicksons Lawyers pride themselves on their creative approach to problem solving, and it was time to apply this creativity to their I.T. contracting services. Wanting a left-of-centre solution to increase form completion, we started with a new brand identity and re-thought the UX to improve data input.

Challenge
I.T. contracting is not a scintillating task - and can be made even more arduous when the process itself is inefficient and clunky.
The current method for Hicksons’ government clients left many data fields incomplete. The technical jargon was confusing for users, resulting in incorrect data being entered, meaning huge inefficiencies for the Hicksons’ team.
Hicksons wanted to gamify the experience for their clients, while simultaneously surfacing better information to speed up the contracting process, freeing up more time to spend on valuable strategy for their clients.
Solution
Blue Husky, Hickson’s internal brand, got a high-voltage makeover. We made it bold, exciting, and contemporary - pushing the boundaries of what people expect a firm dealing with I.T. contracts to be. From the vibrant colour palette, to the big chunky typeface and blocky illustrations — we set out to gamify the brand and the whole experience, and set Hicksons apart.
When a legal firm says “Make it fun”, you’re not really sure you believe them at first.
Digital experience
Through a series of workshops we defined solutions to encourage form completion, simplify jargon, and automate the arduous task of IT contracting for both Hicksons' clients, and the legal team themselves.
